Lydia Sicher, M.D., Ph.D., was trained by Alfred Adler, who put her in charge of all Adlerian activities in Vienna after his work took him abroad in the late 1920s. All Adlerian clinics were closed by the new Austro-Fascist government in 1934 and subsequently Sicher moved to the United States.
“Dr. Sicher's contribution to Individual Psychology was enormous and brilliant. She translated complex concepts into simple meaningful terms. This book is a much needed and much awaited introduction to Dr. Sicher's psychological insights.”
— Dr. Harold Mosak, Adler School of Prof. Psych.
