Jay Frankston, a lawyer, wrote a
charming little book about his "career" as a Jewish
Santa Claus in New York. We found the right
illustrator and printed a modest number at moderate
cost. Then the author went "on the road," meeting
with newspaper reporters, talk show hosts, and book
distributors throughout the country. Through hard
work and his own persuasive charm, Jay created a
groundswell of interest in his book. Orders from
all over the world poured in, leading to a
Reader's Digest condensation, a contract
with Simon and Schuster, and a motion picture
contract.
A stand-up comedian in Southern California
was having difficulty finding work. Lightheartedly
told to talk to the Mafia because they owned so
many nightclubs, Mike Veron got an idea for a book.
We assisted him with the writing and production,
and now, after he performs, Mike invites his
audience to purchase autographed copies of The
Comedy Mafia.
