Molly Dwyer's debut novel, Requiem for the Author of Frankenstein, was a finalist for the 2009 Northern California Book Award in Fiction and has garnered two first place awards for historical fiction. The novel is based on the life of Mary Shelley. Molly brings a broad, interdisciplinary background to her work: She studied with the Irish poet, Seamus Heaney at UC Berkeley, trained with the National Writing Project, and studied fiction writing with Trinity professor Gerald Dawe and poet Eavan Boland at Galway University in Ireland. Molly also studied literature at Exeter College in an Oxford University summer program as well as novel writing with England's prestigious Arvon Project. Molly has been a transformational educator for twenty years. She teaches English composition, creative writing, and literature classes in community college and facilitating workshops privately.
